Extension Planning New Webinar to Help Businesses Learn “Unconventional” Recruiting Techniques

Extension Marketing s planning to teach local business owners and managers how to find and attract new employees using “unconventional” recruiting techniques.

Pat Whalen, the Founder and CEO of Extension Marketing Inc. commented: “During the past few months, the media have reported extensively about staffing shortages in Ottawa, Eastern Ontario and throughout Canada and what a big problem this is for businesses of all types and sizes. After seeing this problem first hand at many of our clients, and reading continuing reports of school bus driver shortages, we decided to organize a webinar to share many of the lessons we’ve learned about how to find, attract and recruit new employees.”

The 75 minute webinar entitled “How to Find, Attract and Recruit New Employees during the Pandemic” is scheduled for Thursday, October 28, 2021, beginning at 12:00 noon. The event is being presented at no charge to attendees.

Extension is hosting the webinar with Whalen the featured speaker. Also speaking is Steve Klein, veteran CEO, bestselling careers author, motivational speaker and broadcaster. Klein has just been named Leader of Extension’s newly expanded Recruiting Marketing Practice.

According to Whalen, “this webinar is designed especially for Business Owners and Managers from the construction, high tech, retail, dining, hotel, automotive, manufacturing, home service contractor (especially HVAC, Plumbing, Landscaping and Electrical), trucking, professional service and healthcare industries.”

“Everyone we talk to about recruiting this Fall is finding that conventional advertising such as outdoor signs, career fairs, print ads, posts on popular Job Boards and Facebook just aren’t working like they used to before Covid-19,” Klein says, “we’ve developed a much different approach to overcoming the shortage problem, an approach that draws from our combined over 20 years of experience in recruiting marketing and finding talent for clients, as well as Mark Miller’s bestselling book Talent Magnet andJay Conrad Levinson’s bestselling books on Guerrilla Marketing and Advertising.

According to Klein, “this webinar will offer attendees new ideas, fresh thinking and a host of practical tips and useful strategies, and they will come away with suggestions that they can quickly use in their businesses, both this year and in 2021. We’re also planning to answer questions that we get asked every day by frustrated recruiters: ‘Why aren’t our recruiting ads working like they used to?’, ‘How do we change our ads so they work?’, Where should we be advertising to find good people?’ and ‘How do we attract more qualified applicants this year and next?’”

This webinar has a wide appeal and will be of special interest to CEOs, COOs, Vice Presidents, General Managers, Marketing Managers, Sales Managers, Operations Managers, HR Managers and Recruiting Managers. Senior Managers from Associations, Non-Profit Organizations, Agencies and Government are also invited and welcome to attend.
